Description
Amicalola Falls State Park envleops 829-acres in the northern part of Georgia. The park is located between Ellijay and Dahlonega in Dawsonville, Georgia. The park's name is derived from a Cherokee language word meaning "tumbling waters". Amicalola Falls,at 729-feet, is the highest in Georgia. Due to the way it drops, it is not possible to see from the top of the falls to the bottom or vice versa. It has to be viewed in sections.
