An artistic rendering. Recently I meandered around Cades Cove settlement in Smoky Mountain National Park in Tennessee, USA. There are numerous historic farm buildings in the area as well as Caleb's Mill where settlers ground their grain - mostly corn. These are a few of the discarded millstones tossed near a zigzag split rail fence. You can see the sides of the millrace behind the fence.
The power of light - often juxtaposed with the lack of it in the shadows, is what permits any photographer to share his or her unique perspective of the world.
