Description
Its not easy to capture these jellies with a sharp image, because some part of them is always undulating in addition to the fact they are always floating. This image was taken through thick acrylic in an aquarium. The overhead lighting really helps to bring the almost 'nothingness' of this jelly into sharp relief. The Atlantic sea nettle, or East Coast sea nettle, is a widely distributed species of jellyfish that inhabits tropical and subtropical parts of the Atlantic, Indian and Pacific Oceans. It is frequently seen along the eastern Coast of the United States, such as the Chesapeake Bay.
